Olive Oil Kale Chip Recipe
Ingredients
1 Bunch of Kale
Olive Oil - I use the garlic (Vegan) or hickory smoked olive oil (Not Vegan)
Pinch of Sea Salt
Pinch of Garlic Powder
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 300 degrees Fahrenheit.
Wash and dry 1 bunch or bag of kale, making sure the leaves are completely dry. Leave any moisture and you'll have soggy kale chips.
Cut the kale into chip-sized pieces.
Arrange kale on an unlined baking sheet.
Drizzle 2 teaspoons of olive oil over the kale. Using your hands, gently massage the oil into the kale leaves, making sure to cover the entire surface of each kale leaf. If you find you need a tiny bit more oil, add it one drop at a time.
Next, sprinkle a pinch of sea salt over the kale and add the pan to your preheated oven. Feel free to add a pinch of garlic powder if you'd like, I just thought it would be too much with the flavored olive oil.
Bake for 10 minutes. Then rotate the pan, flip any pieces that are starting to look crispy, and bake for another 10-15 minutes, watching the pan closely for the last 7-8 minutes to prevent burning.
Remove the pan from the oven and leave the kale chips on the pan for 3-5 minutes before serving so they can crisp up.
